Whats involved to change from carbs to EFI. And what kind of price are you looking at.

Hi, Mike - I made a quick web search and came up with this company that makes a FI system for HDs. Not inexpensive, and when you look at their list of kit components, that'll give you an idea of the pieces and parts required to convert from carbs to FI. If you were making it sup from scratch, it would probably be costly.

not too expensive at all. Do a google for Megasquirt. According to Jojje the whole setup can be bought for under $500. You have to do all the tuning though.

Megasquirt FI computer ~$300
Wideband Lambda sensor ~$150+
Used Throttle Bodies with injectors off ebay ~$50-200

You'll need a laptop to tune it, but you can set the A/F ratio you desire (should be 13-1) and the wideband Lambda sensor will adjust the fuel to match that ratio.

How easy is it to install the Throttle Bodies? I hear from jojje that the GSXR 750-1300 Throttle Bodies are the ones to use.

Is this pretty much plug and play or is there alot of fabriction. I have alot of questions, just dont know where too begin.

You need to adjust the spacing, mod or make a new fuelrail and spend a few hours getting the throttle linkage to work. They fit in the stock rubber
