can't get my bike's history

I spoke to a mechanic from the dealer over the phone asking him about printouts of my bike's history. I am the second owner and looking to get a complete record. the guy tells me to come in anytime and they'll print it for me.

Few weeks later while I m in there getting a part replaced under a recall, I ask for the history and the dude behind the counter tells me he cant do it. Its a privacy issue and he can't print it out or show it to me. ***???. I was in a hurry as they took ages to replace the part so tried a litlle bit more in vain and then left.

Planning to go back and speak to someone else. Privacy? its a freaking service record not a criminal one.
