I was thinking of getting an OEM high seat for my 1050. For two reasons really; 1. to alleviate a sore rump on those longer trips and 2. it just might get me high enough to get me out of the buffet zone from my touring screen.

Has anyone out there had any experience with this higher seat?

Thanks

Unless you have got a bike with a low seat, you have the high seat. High seat is standard. Confirm by Googling the part numbers on the bottom of your seat. There is probably two. One for the pan and one for the seat. You'll know when you've Googled the right one.

Raising higher probably won't help you out of the buffeting zone of your screen, unless you're planning on standing. Some just create ton of turbulence.

Which screen are you running?

HI

Not over in the UK its not. On the online site for accessories you have an option to buy a higher seat. It can even be seen on the "build your own bike" part of the site were you can choose various options for your new bike. I was looking at it just the other day.

As for my screen I'm currently using the OEM stock touring screen. its taller and slightly wider than the stock that comes with the bike.

Cheers

Wow I'll have to check into that. The last two seats I saw listed as tall seats over here matched my seat part number.

A lot of users report bad buffeting with the OEM touring screen. I didn't have much more luck with the ZeroGravity touring screen(s yeah, I have two somehow ) The Puig touring was better but the Palmer medium has been the best so far for me.
