Hi y'all, I just checked the bike in the garage (mentally preparing to put it away for the winter) and noticed two 1/4" bumps pushing up under the top of the seat. Has anyone else had this happen, or should I be expecting some sort of insectivorous hatch birthing from my bike??? (I've been watching Haloween movies the past couple of days...perhaps its affecting me...)

I have never mentally put anything away for the Winter. It is just that you sit & think about changing the oil? Think about adding Stabyl to the gas tank? Think about changing the air in your tires?
Let me know if that works because it sure would save a lot of time. Mentally speaking that is. But I ride all Winter.
But I have never seen anything under either of my seats. I do know that mice like to get in there. He may be mentally thinking about staying the Winter in there.
I had a Hodaka seat that a mouse had gotten into & had eaten the seat foam all the way around the top edge. I guess he couldn't backup & just kept going until he exited the other end.
Your phone is ringing.

I had some bumps similar to what you describe in my extra seat. I didn't feel like pulling up the cover so I just kind of pulled on the vinyl and worked the "bumps" (possibly alien body snatching pods) around to the bottom part of the seat. They can't be seen now, but may be laying in wait for the mother ship...... :wow: :assim:

I had the same problem and it got worse. More and more of the bumps started popping up. It was really weird and my local dealership folks were stupified by it. I got the seat replaced under warranty (quickly I might add). By the time I got around to replacing it there were probably 20 or so little bumps. I thought my seat had contracted some sort of exotic disease. That really doesn't sound so good considering mine was the only a** that sat on it! No problems with the new seat two years later.
