I do a fair amount of night riding in country areas where there is no other lighting. It certainly is a better lamp than the stock. Relatively cheap and available locally as well.

So 1 yes and 1 no.

For the money if it made it any brighter I think it might be worth it.

I've put them in my car but couldn't tell much of a difference.

Thanks!

I purchased & installed a new sylvania silverstar ultra bulb on my 08 thruxton and the difference is awesome. For $28 bucks I can now see great at night & be seen during the day. The stock yellowish bulb was too dim for my taste. I would def recommend this upgrade!! You wont be dissappointed!!

I changed my headlight reflector lens for a Cibie type one with new Osram bulb:
Cibie 7" lens-reflector unit ($75.95)
Osram 70/65w H4 bulb ($22)
Osram 6w parking lamp bulb ($4.24)
from Daniel Stern and gives a much brighter light but a much wider spread of light too, especially on full beam.
A bit more expensive due to the reflector but good results.

There are a lot of false claims out there about bulbs. Also be careful spending a motza on a new bulb yet sticking with the OEM reflector. I also went the Danial Stern option outlined by triton_750 and am very happy with the results.
