merry Christmas folks,

One of the reasons I sold my M2, all the cars were just 'in the way' Buelligans

It had it's flaws, but I loved the sound and the way it would GO!! as soon as you turned the loud handle. Yeeeeehaaaaawwww!!!! :-D

Why do I feel the need to apologize for
LOVING THAT VIDEO SO MUCH!?!?!

That does it.... I gotta get me a system that'll allow me to mount a video camera to the Bonnie! I saved a link to a tripod dealy with suction cups; our Bonnies don't have a modern gas fill for the sportbike.com hardware I've used.....

I have some footage from the Beemer, some footage from the gas tank of my Sprint RS..... even some footage of me aboard my BonnieBlack from the tank of a K1200R. What I DON'T have are the connectors, a modern computer, and the software to make some snippets from the miniDV footage I have.... and I have lotsa footage!

Yeah, I'm sorry.... but I like old school Buells (and the modern Ulysses), as well as watching footage of guys skirting along the edges of sanity. That was cool.
Pat,

I thought that would grab you. I've just had my soup, waiting on the turkey :-D

Gotta love it.... LOVE that picture! I want a crown to wear to the garage where we'll be smoking cigars, burning a turkey, BBQ'ing hot dogs, and drinking. Might only be three of us, maybe more..... single/divorced bikers getting together for a celebration(?) of sorts. Oh yeah, "Jesus is the reason for the season" I guess because I didn't want to deal with the superficial and forced niceties at my sister's house with Mom doing us a favor by showing how good a person she is for showing up (with Dad in tow)...... I'll share it with my extended family. The guys here on the site, your very cool picture of smiling faces, and biker-buds hanging out in a cold garage burping, farting, smoking cigars and drinking some of that "Cherry flavored Whiskey" I'm bringing over (I really wanted that bottle of Pendleton whiskey, THAT stuff is DA BOMB!)...... well, that'll be my Christmas.

Sooo, uhhh, you really considering a Buell?!?!?!
(I want a R1200R BMW, I can dream)

I mean REALLY, thank you (from the bottom of my heart) for posting that picture. I'm smiling for the first time this morning.

no thanks Pat,

I had a Buell, I'm happy enough with the 'Scottish Rambler'

I dug out some old snaps and scanned them, the top picture is the day I knew I had to have a Buell. I was out on another favourite bike (M900, had it a year, 12000 miles) with my eldest, Fiona, and stopped at 'The Green Wellie' at Tyndrum.

I spoke to the Buell owner who said he also had a Hyabusa, but never rode it because he loved his Buell so much. He was Dennis Prosser , a respected Scottish road racer of the '70s/'80s. Dennis died from cancer a few months later.

The Orange M2 was mine for 6 months, but the rear suspension was useless with a passenger and I was just a Buelligan on it, like the guys in the video. I'll maybe get another if I grow up :-D

That video makes me feel that I'm the safest rider in the world. Too fast for my nerves.

I can't tell you how many times I looked at Buells. That short wheel base, light weight and power means some "dancing with the bars". (I just made that up and am putting a patent on it.)

The people I've talked to that have them REALLY like them. Several said they get 65 mpg!
"dancing with the bars"
I LOVE IT!

Have you taken any of the new Buells out for a spin? You can't even see the thing beneath you! You don't even know you're on a bike!?!?! It feels like it would be something to hang from your key fob as a back up bike if you needed one. Too small for me!
Damned Buelligans!! :wow:

Awesome video. I already had my morning hooliganism on my Husky Supermoto enroute to my kids house. Nothing like flattracking around a turn and seeing the look of the woman in the minivan coming the other way...priceless.

Merry Christmas!

Mike
Nice, but I have a question. What the heck are the turn arrows on the road that seem to be heading in the wrong direction?

They're to tell those coming the other way that they are about to enter a "no overtaking" section of road and they must get back onto their own side of the road.
looks like a helluva lot of fun.
Oh man, all that traffic makes my head hurt. It would make me beg for those quiet country lanes. And I really like some of the Buells, even though Harley is trying like heck to ruin them.
Ride like that in Alabama and you'll end up in the pokey (or the morgue).
You can't even see the thing beneath you! You don't even know you're on a bike!?!?!
They should make a handle bar attachment at the center that extends out to the front that has a gun sight at the end. This way you know where you're pointing the thing.

I spent a whole evening listening to two guys tell me how great their Buells were. Not sure why.

Cool video. Can't blame cars and mini-vans when they get it.
At my office there are 3 buell riders and all I have ever heard (from them) was how much they hate their bikes, what is wrong with the bikes, and how they have no or very low resale and trade in. And no service from HD dealers.

But so far non has managed to get another bike!
And no service from HD dealers.
Now that's a common complaint I hear about Buells. I heard too that even the sales department doesn't push them as much as the big bikes.

I wonder if Harley is sorry they bought Buell.
