Guys

Just placed my order for the faster Phantom Black with ABS, waiting till March the 1st for delivery, so it’s on the new registration plate in the UK, and the worst of the weather is over. (Oh sooooo long to wait)

I think I have ordered it with everything, do you think i have missed anything;

Front mud guard extension
Datatool alarm
Heated grips
Rear rack and sliding carriage
Tank pad
Rear hugger
Data tag kit
R & G Protectors
Scottoiler with twin feed
And having my GPS and Autocom fitted;

Hav'nt bought a gel seat or double bubble screen thought i would wait and see what the 07 version is like, anyone with any experience of these?

Plus on other topics, questions of the ability to fit helmets into 05/06 panniers have been raised, can you fit a helmet in the 07 panniers?

Well here’s counting everyday till I am on the road

Cheers :-D

Congratulations Born2ride,

The panniers will not fit a full face helmet. But that is the only real negative I found on my 06. It, like has been stated many times before, is the best all round bike going. And you'll also note that Sprint ST owners are probably the most passionate about their bikes, bar none.

Born2ride,

Wow your cool!! Thanks for showing off all the cool stuff you ordered. Now you can park your bike next to all the other Triumph's and be totally cooler than them.

I wish I could get those awesome accessories.

Wow, and to thing I've only put 15,000 miles on mine with only some luggage :(

Looks like I need to catch up!! :-D

DaveM, Remlin1..

Thanks for the welcome. Not seen the oil & radiator protector before, looks good from your pics. Do you know where i can get one from in the UK?

Brian as you say the Sprint ST is a great bike and i have really enjoyed my 2002 model and am hoping for many more fantastic miles on the new one.

triumphite.. sorry you seem to have taken my post the wrong way.. i mearly wished to share my joy of buying a new bike with other like minded bikers :???:

Welcome aboard, B2R! My compliments on your choice. You'll enjoy that one! I see you're in Teesside. My wife and I lived in Yarm for 4 years, and loved that part of the country. The people are great; warm and friendly, and there's some great countryside and coastline close by, not to mention some excellent roads! :)

Born2ride,

I missed seeing at first that you have an 02 Sprint ST. A good friend of mine has the blue 04. A couple of questions if you don't mind.
How many miles on your 02?
Are you going to keep it? If so I'd be interested in a first hand comparison between the two.
The reason I ask is around here you can still find a few new leftover 04. I got the 06 Back in June. But quite frankly I'm torn between the 04 generation and mine. To me it looks just as good or better than mine. Rick and I have traded bikes while out on rides and it rides great.(the 04)

Again welcome to the forum.

Hi there - I picked up an '07 Sprint in Blue last weekend with the higher screen which I would recommend. Have come from an 06 S3 which I loved but wanted something slightly more practical. Managed 36 miles so far!

Born2ride,
good on you bloke! Great list of stuff you ordered with the bike. Also great choice of colour, (I know, I know, there will some pedantic***** out there that will tell me Black is not a colour, so stone me in the town square). You might also consider a Triumph after market pipe and a tidy tail. Enjoy your new bike mate! And anytime you want to share your joy about your new bike, go right ahead and its great to read what others are adding to their bikes.

Brian.. not planning on keeping the 02, going some way to pay for the new one, so wont be able to do a direct comparison on the two, i have just done 21,000 miles on it though.

thanks minitwins for the info on the rad guard i will contact them and see if the one they do fits the 07 model.

Not sure a race can is for me, i tend to do more long miles than speed (honest), will try the screen that comes with it and then maybe change for a higher one.

cheers

Hello Born2ride,

Congratulations! I also bought my 07 Sprint ABS Phantom black last week , waiting until April for delivery...

Can you please give me more info about the rear hugger you ordered ? I contacted the guys from Powerbronze who told me that there is currently no rear hugger available for 'O7 Sprint ABS. They only sell huggers for models without ABS.

Cheers

Congrats on the new ride!
wow all blinged out. you should include pictures of your bike after you get it.

the only thing I have added to my bike is the tank bag. LOL

I will add the protectors before the hugger. I want the hugger in the flat black like the black frame color. I'm not sure if they even make it like that. ...?

can anyone confirm that the ABS shield in front of the shock fouls the hugger if you fit 1, and you have to modify the hugger to suit. I fitted a ABS shield to mine as a cheap mod

welcome to the club, you will love this bike.
As for all those goodies; if the minister for war & finance would allow it, I'd have one with the lot too.
Enjoy the ride.

Cant give to much info on the ABS Hugger, i ordered it when i bought the bike from the dealer. I sent him an email yesterday enquiring if the hugger would fit, they assure me that they have both ABS and Non-ABS versions. Suppose i will just have to wait and see, when i collect the bike.

i have a tank bag for my 2002 sprint, can anyone confirm if it will fit the 2007, or can you get a replacement tank saddle for it?

regards
