Congratulations on passing your test Dave! Here’s to wishing you many thousands of safe miles riding your absolutely beautiful T120. While i’ve not been to Scotland before, what I have seen of it is amazingly beautiful. I envy the scenery you get to ride around in.

Take care and post many pictures! We love pictures! :grin2:

Congratulaions! Beautiful bike, enjoy it and drive it safely!

Is the bike 2 years old and you just bought it, or did you buy it two years ago and haven't been able to ride it????? That would be painful...

I visited Scotland in 2005 and drove between Edinburgh, Inverness and Glasgow (in a car). These days I ride a T120 and I dream of going back to ride some of those winding roads. Ride safe and watch out for sheep!

Congratulations, Dave! The first time I took the test my Buell died in the middle of a turn and it was an auto fail because it wouldn’t come back on. Took it 2 weeks later with by brand new Street Twin and aced it. Interestingly enough there’s a different test for bikes above or below 900cc here in the states. What the difference is, I don’t know.

Enjoy your T120. It’s a beautiful and very laid back motorcycle.

Congrats for passing your test, when I did it back in the 1960's it was a very simple thing to do, riding round the block in Bournemouth on a AJS 250cc bike, all hand signals etc and a dodgy emergency stop where the examiner walked out in the road in front of you. Oh happy days.

Being of Welsh decent, Chuckwalksdogs, we are always on the lookout for sheep, its in the blood, some of the boys are even named Bah-sil, LOL. Driven over lots of the roads in Scotland in cars when we lived in the Lake District, never on a bike though. A lot quieter than England in those days.

Hope you have many a great ride on your bike Dave.

Hi folks

Many thanks to all your replies .

I had the bike for about 1 month sitting in the front garden until I passed the final test .

In the UK you have to do a CBT on a 125cc ,the theory test ,then mod1 on a 600 cc and finally the mod 2 test on the road .

You can do it in other ways ie longer but I did what they call the direct access over 1 week .
The feeling on the t120 for the first time was fantastic ,so smooth and the power ,she pulls like a train ?.

I live in Cupar near St Andrew's in Scotland ,not many sheep as its situated in the lowlands of Scotland so a bit safer ☺,but maybe a wee tour further north in the future .

Looking forward to the next ride ,once the rain stops .

Cheers
Dave

Enjoy the new bike Dave. Many years ago I lived in Cupar and worked on golf courses in St Andrews and around Scotland.
It’s a lovely part of the world which I visit yearly as I have a sister in Dundee and my parents in Blairgowrie.
You should take a spin up to Glenshee some fine day.
Ride safe.
