Sold my Rocket III on ebay to purchase an '07 Bonnie in Goodwood Green. . .love that color. Putting Sprint exhaust on her, heated grips, summer screen and sissy bar. . .and she'll be ready to roll.

So looking forward to hearing the rumble of the parallel twin thru those pipes. . .I missed that.

This site is an excellent source of info and banter, as is the Rocket portion as well. . .

I'll let ya' know when all is mounted and we're on the road.

Just got in this afternoon; will see her tomorrow.

My serial # reflects a J, which according to the banter re: made in England v. Thailand means that my baby is English all the way - save for the parts made in Thailand and shipped to the isle. . .oh well!!!

Will take delivery after the shop puts on the pipes from Sprint, heated grips, Triumph panniers and a summer screen.

Should be late in the week following New Years.

very excited.

Leather bags. . .I had Triumph panniers on my Rocket and I loved them, albeit very expensive.

Want leather for sure rather than fabric.

Alternatives for leather. . .and don't want Willie&Max "pleather" bags either.

well, I like the Tour Master Classic bags, but they're synthetic as well.

Tour Master Classics

For what the Triumph bags cost ($300+), they are not a good value IMHO. Mine were falling apart, and you can barely fit a Tshirt into the tiny opening, and once you actually get it through the opening you have to cram it all the way to the back of the bag...and then reach back there to get it out.

Maybe you'll like them. I thought mine were sh!t so I got rid of them asap. Most people are not satisfied with them.

I have some leatherlyke bags on mine now, hard but leather look, waterproof, and lockable.

Come on man, whats the story? I came off a 955i to the Thruxton, and even though I lost a huge amount of handling and performance, it was a great decision.

You gonna change your name to rick07bonnie? Welcome to old school, enjoy.
