OK, I'll come clean. I so dig the Goodwood Green Bonnie I bought 45 days ago, and I so want to go down many conflicting modification paths, that I'm buying a used Black to f- with this winter. Keeping the Green fairly stock and classic, and will turn the Black into a scramthruxville hybrid. Suggestions welcome. Pix to follow. Stop me before I.....

I've been looking at Enfields as well...very cool, but do you know if the ones sold in US are UK spec? I know they are all made in India, but my understanding is that they have a higher level of qualitycontrol and components for those exported to UK.

Having a Norton, that's probably my favoriate bike. A beast to kick over and there always seems to be something that needs attention so it rarely gets out. My Bonnie black has slowly become more cafe like...it's my daily runner. But soon to take over the daily and fun factor is a recently aquired Honda GB500. I've seen a few Enfields and yeah they look cool but they seem to rate up there with the need of attention as a true vintage. When it comes down to it, there are so many bikes I'd like to have in my garage but the Enfield was a moment of interest only.

Agree with the thoughts. Hence my purchase of a second Bonnie for customization, rather than another marque. You can do so much to the bike, and it's so ***** pure and reliable, that it isnt worth changing horses.

This is a weakness that I admire in a person, capoanj! I've have my T100 for less than three months and I already want a Scrambler and a Thruxton. But I've learned that when I have a really great experience it's often a mistake to try to repeat it. The second time around just never lives up to the first time (there are exceptions, but I won't go there in this particular forum :lgh: ).

And then there's the money thing. I'll just stick with Roxy for now and get her all dressed up, because there is always somewhere to go!

That's a great idea Capoanj. My Speedy is perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. OK, well not much anyway. lol

I'm hoping to find a reasonably-priced used Triumph as a back-up and to tinker with too.

Kingbear, my first bike was a '72 Yam Mini Enduro, and I'm looking for one to restore for my soon to be 10 year old son!

I agree with the second time around theory, but since I bought the bikes kless than two moths apart, I'm thinking it's more like dating twins!

I guess getting an older Triumph would be like dating your ex-girlfriends mother. Been there, doing that.
I also read an English classic bike mag & they were talking about the Enfield with UK specs. They don't mention that over here so I bet they are not the same. But my neighbors sure looks good. Sounds good too. He actually looks down on my Bonnie. The jerk.
I guess the Enfield being the same bike they built many years ago it would still have the same old problems.
I think a Scrambler would be better. And a Thrux. I made my very last house payment last month so that is $500.00 a month I could spend. Go BOB go.
