I was at my local Triumph owners club last night & there was a guest speaker from Triumph, he told us that there was going to be something special for the Bonneville 50th anniversary in 2008 (might have been 2009?), also fuel injection in 2008. Factory 4 will supply USA with Bonnevilles & most castings will now come from factory 5 as the current suppliers can't meet capacity. Bonneville production is currently 17% with the speed triple the biggest seller. If I can remember anything else I'll post it, there was a question about spokes, & the response was that it is because there was a change from plated steel spokes to stainless, which is more brittle, they did not think it was a major concern as there have been about 12 or so broken spokes out of 23 000 bikes sold.
