last month I ordered the new shorty rear fender from Bella Corse. Has anyone actually installed it?How do you ground it?
It kind of looks like a dirt bike fender. I think the license plate will be wider than the fender so I was thinking of trimming the plate.
I am not sure the look of this fender is clean enough. Any opinions out there?

I'm looking at getting one of these, mainly because I can't seem to find a bracket to mount a tail light to and they ones I've made have been less than stellar.

Form the pic on Bella's site it does look a little "dirt bikey" I'd probably go at it with a dremel and a saw till I had most of it concealed, leaving just the light and a place to mount the licencse.

Here's a close up of my cut down fender, showing a simple 2 bolt fixing to a home made alloy bracket to which the rear light and numberplate mounting secures. Very simple installation. The location of the numberplate acts as a replacement fender, so weather protection in the wet is at least as good as the stock fender.
I would like to see the frint end if you do not mind. I dont run running lights and blinkers as well, and I would like to see what you did with that bracket up front...
I also noticed you have taken off your decoration caps on your back shocks - I have been wondering also how to do this, not sure how hard it would be, maybe you can give some advice on that as well.

I retained the existing front brackets and bolted the new indicators to the brackets as shown below.

The chrome caps are easy to remove once the springs have been compressed. I clamped each suspension unit into the workshop vice and compressed the springs using tie down ratchet straps. Once the springs are sufficiently compressed the top alloy plate and caps can be lowered enough to remove alloy plate, slide the caps taken off and refit the alloy plate before releasing the spring tension. It took me about 15 minutes each side, including the removal and refitting of the suspension unit.

Sorry!! I still have not decided if I want to install the fender or not. At present both my fenders are painted black like the bike. I am not sure if a plastic rear fender will look good with a black front fender. Of course if I replaced the front with the aluminum fender.....hummm :???:

The BCC-136 Mini Rear Fender is black plastic. The Cyclops TL is readily available to me... in fact I have one lying around here somewhere. It would require a bobbed fender or some type of adaptor plate to fit. It's designed (like most generic TLs) to mount to a smooth surface like a fender. And there isn't any provisions to mount winkers.

I see Motrax offers the same LED lamp that is used on the Mini Fender Kit. There seems to be a common misconception that the clear lamps glow white. NOT SO. They're red LED's and glow red. Clear is real hot with the Speed III crowd. Bonnie owners tend to be more traditional. :-D

To confirm. LED's for the cyclops light glows red, and very bright it is too, and that's the running light photographed below. The brake (stop) light is twice as bright!!! The white light seen reflecting onto the numberplate is there to illuminate the plate.
