Beack removal

I was told by my mechanic that it can't be done using an R&G tail tidy, i know some of you guys have removed it,what licence plate hanger are you using?

I just fabbed one up out of aluminum to mount in the same holes - cheap and easy. Then powder-coated it to match the frame.
