HI folks. I'm new to the site, but have now had two stators fry in a 2004 daytona 600. Is anyone aware of an inherent problem with this model that can be permanently fixed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Love my bike, but she's gonna have to go bye bye if I can't get this rectified.

A faulty regulator/rectifier will fry your stator regularly. Start by checking it.

I second Will. The reg/rec is typically what fails prior to the stator. If you've gone through two stators, I'd say there is another issue causing them to fail. Look in the tech archive sticky thread and you'll see two threads about checking the charging system.

Thanks, guys. I put a new reg/rec in when I replaced the last statro tho. Brand new from the nearest Triumph dealer. Any other suggestions? Is there any way to test the reg/rec?
