Hi everyone,

I'm back on a Triumph after a brief stint with a Ducati Monster. So glad to have stumbled upon the Garage Company and Motorcycle Museum in Inglewood CA which re-ignited my passion for Triumph motorcycles. There's nothing like them! Currently, I'm customizing my Triumph Thruxton R and am looking for any upgrade recommendations. Happy to be a part of the Triumph community!

Welcome. I considered a Ducati Monster but never actually rode one. Truth be told, the reliability of Italian bikes scares me away.

How do you compare the 2 in terms of performance and engine sound?

The Triumph delivers smoother and more robust performance-perhaps its the quick shifter and the 1200CC v. the Ducati 821. Engine sound on the Triumph has more growl, more soul. The Monster was fun but the Triumph offers much more in all depts., especially in the look and feel.
