I was looking for those last year. I concur with you absolutely sick!
Anyways I will have it this year, I commissioned a company to make a set for me.
Stainless steel, but I'm not sure if I go black( will look great with the carbon kit).
I'll keep you post it!
seems like you and I are on the same wave length on more than 1 thing!

They look exactly like the Ducati pipes on Paul Smart's Imola racer.

how, much? maybe they'll give us a deal if we have them do a couple sets! I want mine in black.

I agree. looks that we are in the same boat.I concur the Paul Smart Imola Racer and The 750 Commando SS came to my mind when I seen the VD exhaust pipes.
That's a good idea I don't have a price yet, but I will talk to Richard, and we go from there.

cool. let me know as soon as you hear.
I think I'm going to cancel my TT pipes to get these...

BTW, I've decided to order a custom made polished aluminum manx sprint tank instaed of going with the glass tanks.
My wife overheard me talking about glass tanks exploding...

But I still want to check out your other kits because I need to still get the pan, seat, cowl, fenders, and fairing.

I'll PM you my personal email address.

Now you read it my mind, are you getting the tank from Evan Wilcox?
If that is the case I seen state of the art hand made tanks by this guy.
I'll check my mail and get back to you.

It looks alot like the Zard with some custom powder coating and custom heat shields. There's another on available that looks similar, I can't seem to find it, but it's been pictured on this site before, somewhere.

You have a good eye!
But the Vd's are avail for close to 2 years.
Also notice that the ones in your pic do not have side covers.
It has a set of Peashooters looks like silencers.I will go different route with the silencers and I will keep the side covers. Other important issue for me, is HP,, so it will takes a bit of R&D in my case.
IMHO any set of SS pipes looks awesome!

either the Wilcox or the baker. I've heard great things about Baker and can't beat the price. I'm waiting for a quote from him...
the only thing is that he takes about 4 months. no biggie for me though.
If you interested, maybe we get a better price on 2 for these too!

RE: the pipes, are you having them custom like in the picture on both sides or like the imola racer? high pipes on one side and low on the other? If we get scrambler side covers with the notch, it might help address this.

You can't go wrong with either one.
I would like to know, how much they quote you?
Does Baker had made any yet?, or they will use a mule bike?
About the pipes is open to debate.
I guess the best bet will be that you and I get together, and exchange some ideas about it.
I think that it will depends on which is our final target...

cool. let's talk later in the week and we can meet up in costa mesa or something.

Not sure if Baker has made any for the hinckleys yet. Grandpaul from BIR said he did a manx tank for "project charlie" and it came out amazing.

I'll wait to hear back from Baker before we proceed.

are you familiar with his "project charlie"?

Cool, you got my number, so we are cover.
Yeah, I know GP very well , "Project Charlie" is a 74-75 Norton Commando that GP made for Charlie Steinman(BIR member)and it come up very good.
I guess that you are right, wait for Baker to answer, Wilcox takes normally more than 6 months, to fulfil your order.
Is another company in Scotland "The Tank Company", that it does a great job too, but it takes a long time to get the product at your door.
We'll see!
