If youre looking at that $7990. price tag for an '06 Speed Triple, I say do it. And if they tell you they have freight, setup, etc., to add on, tell them to stick it. Thats the OTD price, if they can't meet it, walk. Its almost November, make a deal time.

Really? Been meaning to check that place out... I usually head over to chicago heights/ steger- its usually a minimum of two hours before you can get outta there! Especially if you ask to see any pictures... Seriously, that stack must be four inches thick- with five minutes of back story per picture (not including duplicates :-D ).

Lemme know how subsequent visits go/ how nice the place is.

There is no such think as OTD until the deal is finalized...

The price has an aterisk that leads to the fine print....$7990 for a new S3 is a ***** good price even with fees (tax, title, and license) any way you look at it. If it is a demo unit you may get them to knock a few hundred more, just make sure you check it for any scratches or scuffs, Triumph is really good about providing you with the 24 month warranty on demo units from the date of purchase

Good luck

Well, I called and spoke to a very nice lady about the bike. She couldn't believe herself that it was that price, but it was sold anyway. The only 2006 they have is puke Gold and they would sell it for $9200 + prep. No deal.

The search continues.................

They also own the place in Chicago, Old Town Motorcycle Shoppe. I bought my bike there this summer. Got it for 10200 out the door. Lowest price I could find. They were really nice but knew very little about their product. For example, the guy told me my magnetic tank bag would work. I told him about the factory setting on my bike's instrument pod being set for British Imperial gallons, and that it needed to be changed to US gallons. And on and on. At the time they had no service dept. at the Old Town store, I think they do now but they probably sell and do more work on the 'merican bikes they sell (Victory) so I'm not sure I'd take mine there for service.

It shouldn't be too difficult to find a dealer letting them go for $8,500. That $7990 did sound a bit off. Find a dealership in your area that advertises on the internet and states theyll meet or beat anyone's price. Find a better price on the internet and tell them to beat it. If they say they can't, move on to the next one.

Only one dealer in my area advertises on the internet, and they want $9200 + prep of like $600, screw that.

My area has VERY limited amount of dealers and I guess they want to keep their bikes all winter and pay interest on them, because they sure don't want to sell them. :(

If youre in the NYC area, out in NW Jersey is a dealership that I go to, I was there a month ago and they have several '06s in crates. Just out of curiousity I asked the salesman, he gave me a price of 9K. I think if I worked him a bit 8.5 wasn't too far away. Check out Jack Trebours in Ledgewood, NJ.

You may get an 06 triple for $8500, which is a kick ass price, or wait until next year to see if they have any 06's left over. Also, most places up north will transfer their current year models south during the winter where they sell better. I searched for my triple for over a year and I settled on a black demo unit. There are deals out there, but you may have to look around. If you don't mind a used 2005, check out cycle trader, great deals there too.

G' Luck
