Hey all, I finally got around to opening another e-mail acct. so that I can finally post (I've been reading for a long time). My bike is at the shop right now for repairs (lowsided just off the blue ridge parkway in NC back in July :( ), so I havent been able to ride in a while. Its all good though, 'cause I get Gladys back better than before! 675 master, black rad covers, clean tail, turn signals, mirrors, etc. Best part is insurance is taking care of it all, even my gear! One small scratch on the left can that I am willing to live with and presto!, no deductible to pay for. PS: they are blue flame evo3s, so they are pretty anyway IMO.

Thanks! The blueflames are pretty sweet, but now I kinda want to do the low-mount single thing (custom, I hope!). They sound great, but as into engineering as I am, I can't deny the physics of a low, tight single can. On a positive note, I may sell my blueflames if I decide to build the pipe I want. They are sweet though.....

Welcome aboard. I'm stuck in Kansas, too, but I really don't mind since I was born here. Yup, black is the way to travel quickly. Have you ridden Route 5 from Leavenworth to KC recently? I haven't been on it for 20 years but I guess it is still fun to ride--I hope they haven't straightened it out in the name of "progress". :-D

Bastard,
I went down just west of the BRP on I80. I was following a buddy behind his '80 KZ750, and was tired of slowing mid corner 'cause he was in my way, so I blew by him at about 125 on the only short straight section I saw and over braked into a left, hit a piece of gravel that made her start to slap, and lost it at about 40 mph.

Cali,
No idea where that town is, sorry. I was born and raised here to, I am a Topeka kid originally, although I hate to admit it.

Mindon,
I have not ridden rt.5, I think I drove my crane truck down that way once, and remember thinking it could be fun. I usually just ride hwy 40 from lawrence to topeka. The corners say 40mph, I say 120!

I am sorry Calitriple, I just have a sick sense of humor and I don't want to get out of line, but we all are from Kansas, so we are on the same team!

Nice smiley Limey. So I hear that FL has the same problem we do here in KS, no turns. Its funny, but I was watching a video that a local riding buddy put together on a favorite road here, and he still has to edit out the long straight parts of the road! To give you an idea, this road is about 25 miles long, and there are maybe 20 sweepers and thats about it. Its fun if you ride fast enough!!
