Guys,
I'm just wondering if any of you have come across a decent alternative to the cheap & nasty seat latch used on the early model OIF Triumphs? My '71 Tiger is always unlatched at the the end of a ride anyway so I am thinking along the lines of a lockable seat latch similar to what Jap :hammer: bikes use? Have any of you done so or had any success on alternative arrangements to keeping & locking your seat down?

Friend of mine fabricated a set up that uses the earlier/later "plunger" style hold down. Turned out real nice and looks factory. Definitely looks much better than a bunjie strap and is easier on the seat foam also.

mines tied with a cable tie.cut it off once a year to change the oil.
