well it was my first show so I dont know how to rate it. I thought it was ok. saw my triumph jacket which used to be £400 for £80 !!! luckily i got it as a bargin on ebay a year ago for about 120 so not too disheartened! Hardly much triumph. they had all the latest sports bike all lined in the main enterance, every sports bike except the 675???? ***?? Sat on a new tiger (holly ***** thats alot of bike), but almost mised it as it was behind a partition right at the back of one of the rooms, only saw it cos i was trying to find a quiet corner to eat a pasty lol. Triumph has such a great lineup of bike they could do with putting in some effort but then again, we lik ebeing different :)
I saw 2 675s, one on the superbike mag stand and in black, stunning, now just take of the fairing and triumph can shift one in my direction. And another race preped one.

picked up a AGV helmet I'd been looking for for a while £89 bargin me thinks.
got SIDI Vertigos for £100, again bargin
and finally found a pair of Alpinestar gloves to take the place of my last (gortex of course :) £99

pretty happy chappy, btw the triumph clothing guy had 1 piece suits for £180, bargin for a new set you dont mind scuffing up.

Good one mate, try going to the BMF show this year, they had al the triumph cloting range and the leathers and jackets were going for £40, I could not believe it, unfortunatly I have all the kit anyman could need, but will get some in spring. So as it was your first show will you be going to more? I really just find there a good excuse for a ride.

good excuse to ride? lol I ride all year round every day so I dont need an excuse to ride just a reason to go in a specific direction that doesnt involve work. yeah I'd be interested in the BMF or any other. I thought about buying the same jacet I already have, the same triumph one at £80 and the same dainesse jacket that i originally paid 350 now old season 190. all my kit is almost worn out but i love it, it does exactly what i want it to do, so until it actually fails i dont see the pint in replacing it. good to know i can get the same agin but cheaper a a show tho. I have to admit i was gutted when i was riding in Thailand cos I crashed and i took my triumph jacket out there. Scuffing a leather jacket at £400 is a bit of a shame but then seeing them for £80 made me realise a few things about biking and gear. Theres so much demand for the new that the perfectly good year old or two year old goes for such a bargin.
It made me realise that our demand for new bikes mke us rider end up being beta testers or new bike which on the whole, i think is a bad thing. Basically cos, when something goes wrong on a bike usually means you're in a whol elot more trouble than someone whos in a car. The nice thing about the S4 was it was a outside dressing to a bike that was tried and tested. Just like if they do a nakd 675. NO recalls no major probs. Thats what I though about the tiger when I sat on it. Great looking bike but what about 20,000 miles later, who knows? no ones done that much on it yet...
anyway, yeah it was a good bike show cos i'd heard you can pick up some bargins and I thought I did. Otherwise it was a bit flakey, but it was organised by IPC media who i think own superbike mag and I use to work for IPC when I worked for the NME and thier Flakeyness is no suprise it felt somewhat familiar. anyway yes I will go to more, but more than likely when I know I need some items like I did today :)

Went to the show today. Nothing stunning but still a fair bit to see and not too busy which suited me!

I always find Dennis Trollope Racing competitive on price and after a little haggling, picked up a DID525ZVM2 (Heavy Duty) chain and a Whale chain cutter/riveter (I'm a sucker for quality tools  ) for £140.

Other bits I picked up were some Mad Doctor front indicators  and some neat stick on(!) ovals for the rear end.

Nice to be able to stroll about and see things in the flesh (and not just the ladies..... ).

Was tempted by the Triumph kit but managed to resist. Nearly got a pair those Jet Road Gore gloves but kept reminding myself I didn't need them  .

Guys at fasterbydesign were knocking out the CRG levers with £20 off a pair (£110) but they don't have Triumph levers yet :(

Speedycom had some Pazzo's but their show price of £130 was actually more than their web price!!! so I laughed and said they must be joking and walked off. What's the point of them going to the show and then refusing to do deals???

A few tyre deals but not enough to sway me. Best deal I saw was some Dunlop Qualifiers for £150.
Tried the FWR tyre guys for a pack of 3 but found them way too pricey.

Still a few bits on my list so contemplating the Excel show...

What kind of tire is that on the white D675? Super Duper rain tire?

The white bike is for the 675 cup (or something like that)- a one make series this summer in England. The tire is probably a Michelin rain tire.

yeah i think earlier in the year i read about a 675 cup (T3 racing). it cost to join but you get the 675 to keep after and discounts all through the cup for triumph parts. cant remember what the website was but prob find it under t3 racing. If i was rich and didnt have to work... I'd have done it :hammer:
