I'm looking at a seat for an Adventurer that has a ring attached to a cable (on the underside), that I assume is meant to release a latch.

Can anyone tell me if it can be modified to fit my 99 Legend? IF it can be made to work, how extensive are the needed modifications?

in order to bolt it on you'll need the rear subframe fender and tail light from the Adventurer. Several other smaller parts will also need to be changed.

Not impossible but rather salty.

If you weld and fabricate, it might be less expensive, but will be labor intensive.
