Hey there, guys.

I have recently become aware that I am not "alone" when I post on here in that my stuff is being monitored by many of my co-workers. Thats not fair to you guys, as these people are not interested in Triumphs, or even bikes, but rather in the content of my posts. Plus its a little creepy to suddenly realize that I have had a virtual audience for some time. (other than you guys, of course!).

Anyway, I have come to the decision that I will not be posting on the Ratnet indefinitely, much to my deep regret. I will miss "talking" with you guys, but I will still be riding my Bonnie as often as possible, and hopefully we will meet on the road from time to time.

I already have several of your e-mails, if anyone would like to stay in touch via e-mail, just send me your contact info and I'll try and stay in touch.

Take care guys, rubber side down and all that.....This is a great site, good job Shawn, hope you get another 50 years out of it!

Very sorry Copper. You're a stand-up guy and I've enjoyed and benefitted from your posts. I'll refrain from saying anything about the reason for your (understandable) decision, except that I'm feeling pretty angry, and not at you.

Oh come on copper,
You gonna let a couple of peeping toms, (nosey people)
stop some thing you enjoy doing.
Just add a little message for them in all your posts.
you know, stuff like kiss my as-
we'll know who it's for.

Theres gotta be a way you can still post. What about a new username and don't post at work, just at home? As long as you only post at home even with the same name, why would that be a problem? Hate to see you go. we need a cop to answers our legal questions too ! Try and do a workaround :(

Sorry to hear that Erik. I`m with Daz on this one.I`ve been on the New Bonnie forum for a year and I doubt more than half a dozen people know it. I`ve never heard you discuss cases or bad mouth your co-workers,so there can`t be too much for them to complain about. But it does happen anyway,so I`ll respect your decision. :(

They removed all forums from my work because some were getting links to porn. But our G.M. wanted them back so Corp. let them back in. For now. But I will still post from home. We also had a GM forum that was being used to help us with new problems with new GM cars. That was the main reason they were brought back. Keep posting, just watch what you post. I found out that I have to log out or the forum is there for anyone in the shop to post. It didn't happen but I found it still up under my user name after I had left & came back to it later. So I just log out everytime.

Well Copper I am glad that you have not said or done anything illeagal ,immoral or detrimental to your position. This is a public forum and all are free to look in.Not sure what they are digging for but the best thing is just not to not play into it and check out.Hopefully you can return to the public forums someday even if under another name.

That was a post I am very sorry to see. It is a shame to see someone who has contributed so much, even in the short time I have been a member, decide they must leave.
These co-workers who are monitoring your emails must be really "great" people to work with. Instead of finding fault and/or criticizing your posts, what a golden opportunity they could have had if they would have instead chosen to contribute. Of course, that might have taken a little extra work.
Then again, perhaps Arlington, Marysville, or Everett has an opening.
Feel free to show this post to those "particular" coworkers. If any of them feel that I consider that they might have a careless attitude toward motorcycle safety, or any of them take issue with any "insinuations" I might have made, I would be more than willing to set up an appointment where we can all talk about it. I'll even come there!
In the meantime, please reconsider - we need your input.

***? Remember the first amendment? I can't remember you having said or done anything even remotely inappropriate here. Can't hang with your online buds? That makes no sense.

Do what you must, but sorry to hear this.

Sometimes we jus' gots to do
what we gots to do.

Behind things,
there may be an underlying reason (not so obvious) why we have decided to do what we must.
And the whole story may not be for us to know,
but "Copper" remains a fellow Bonnie rider none the less.

Fly low 'C'!

Come on Copper, your input is needed here. In this day and age being monitored is just another fact of life. I am sure I am being monitored also so I just watch myself.

Sure hope you stay with us.

I'm really sorry to hear this Copper. I can't imagine there is any benefit to the legal system by monitoring this web site. "BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING". People like them scare me and they probably shouldn't be wearing a badge. They are stalking people although they call it something else and that makes them bad people. Leave the poor guy and us alone. You were one of my favorites for good entertainment and I hate to see you go. Hopefully you still have people on your side and you can still go to coffee and doughnuts without being watched. Take care. :pssd:

Seems pretty strange but you have to do whats best for you. I'm more curious why your co-workers would care enough to track down what you post in a motorcycle forum. :moon: That's pretty lame.

Copper,
Sorry to see ya go. Got to do what you got to do. I'll pm you my address or just check my profile it's public anyway. If I knew some of my co-workers read my posts I'd have fun with it on ocassions, but everyones work place if different. Work for me is not my life just a way to pay the bills and NB, BC orders of course! They aren't my friends just co-workers. I really could care less what they think of me. I guess I'm just too old to care anymore. I always assume that any post I write is open for anyone.
