I found it unnecessary to remove the carbs to rejet, just stick a phillips bit into a 5/8s (is it?) socket and use your ratchet. You have to be really careful not to strip the carb screws, they are total junk and strip very easily.
Don't even think about rejetting without ordering the carb screw kit from newbonneville.com and at only a few bucks it is definately worth it.
you'll have to removed the tank to access the needles, and have a good long skinny pair of needle nose pliers handy to pull the needles out of the top (no need to remove the diaphragm).
Once you rejet one time you'll be an expert, but don't do it without the carb screw kit, or you'll be screwed.
Please be careful with the stock screws, they really do strip in no time.
