Is there a difference in the air boxes between the std TB and the TB Sport? The TB has the chrome "900" full lenght two bolt covers but the TBS has the cool looking "cheese grater" (correct slang?) cover over the front half with the back half exposed.

From our gallery pictures, the TBS back box half is fluted but does appear to have a threaded hole blank to accept the full length "900" chrome cover. However, my original '95 TB primary airbox is plain on the back half. :(

Is the TBS chrome 'cheese grater' just a fancy fake cover for the front of a solid plastic front? To get the whole assembly to look cool, you need the fluted rear unless you can live with the ugly plain TB rear?

Ebay has a TBS cover listed as "Triumph Thunderbird 900 Air Filter Cover B" for $35. Is that the "B "cover as in in I also need the other side as the "A" cover too?

Jeez, can't a guy just get a complete TBS air box assembly someplace for cheap? Yeah, right! :p

That fluted part is just another screw-on cover. The later TB and TBS airboxes are identical. Early TB airboxes did not have the mounting lugs for the "cheese graters", other than that, the airbox is functionally identical. A TBs airbox will work fine on a 95 TB.
