So I got a screen protection film for my 2020 dash that came with two films and proceed to botch the installation of both of them. Before I go down this road again, is this even necessary? Those of you who have had the Striple for a while, how are your screens holding up?

My 2018 had over 7k miles on it and had no scratches or anything.

They'll only get scratched from poor cleaning techniques or wiping your glove over to clear dirt or rain, every used bike I've ever bought has had some degree of scratching or swirls on the displays, you can normally just Polish them out.

Saying that I've just bought a set of speedo angel protectors for my Daytona clocks, my tacho screen has developed a couple of fine stress fractures in the centre (definitely not scratches from damage) but hoping their protectors may stop them getting worse.

I don't think you need it. The screen on my 2017 is fine.

As far as I know no reputable bike store sells screen protectors, only on eBay. That says something to me.
