Would anybody know the O-Ring sizes of a 71 OIF Tachometer gearbox?
Part numbers are E6299 & D3530 but when I went down to my local old Triumph parts supplier they were the type of part that wasn't stocked.
My last ditched attempt will be to trot off to an auto parts outlet to see if they have anything comparable. The reason for wanting to replace them is an oil leak between the chrome driven gear housing (Part number E12875) & the alloy tachometer gearbox body (part number E9331)
Thanks

Hi, JQ,

Actually, the auto parts, or a good hardware store, is one of the better places to find these items. Remember, Triumph didn't make them, they bought them from a supplier. Some stores have a great selection of o-rings and you will probably find what you need to make things right.

Always worked for my old ones (bikes that is): Jim

Most good bearing and hydraulic suppliers stock these type of seal, I think one American firm sells them as 'Stat-O-seals', in England they are Dowtey washers and are used extensivly in Hydraulic assembly.
Just state the inner and outer dimensions.
