What are these two wires for..

When I tried to connect them they sparked and blew the fuse in here..

What is it acceptable fuse to put in here?

I can see the Brown/Blu which is "hot" from the battery & rectifier, the other one is harder to see but looks like red which is "earth" (ground). Touching them together will blow what should be a 25A fuse.

Those wires are for connecting a ignition capicator(2MC)inline. On this model it is mounted under the battey holder by use of a big spring, Correct fuse is a Lucas 35AMP fuse (17.5AMP constantdraw) or a SFE20 anything larger is not reccommended. DO NOT USE A US 35AMP RATED FUSE THE UK/US RATINGS A NOT THE SAME. Littlefuse does make a fuse called a UK35 which is probably a cross to the Lucas one but I dont know that for a fact.
