I have had this triumph for thiry five years and have allways had the problem of shearing off the kick starter lever pin. Anyone know of a way to fix this. I think it is the kickback when starting that does this. Do they make some special pins or what.

thanks

Years ago I owned a 66 TT and had the same problem. Also had it when it rebuilt my 70 bonnie with an 800 kit with 12 to 1 pistons. I think it's because of the higher compression in the TT. I had a machine shop make a pin out of a grade 5 stainless steel bolt. If you are handy with a grinder, you could probably make your own.

Thanks for the reply. I thought that it might be the compression but was not sure. It also could be the timing.
