I'm told a 24K mile service for a 2002 ST will cost $407 which does not include labor and parts for the forks (I am installing Race Tech stuffs).

What have you all been paying for the 24K mile service? Would you consider this a fair deal?

Thanks in advance

Depends on how much is needed. By the book,an '02 ST 24K/4 year service includes (taken directly from service manual):

oil and filter, replace
valve check and adjust
air filter, replace
fuel filter, replace
fork oil, replace
throttle body balance
headstock bearing lubricate
coolant, replace
replace brake fluid, lines, and caliper and master cylinder seals
lube rear wheel bearing
replace fuel hoses (and evap hoses too on Cali. emissions models)
and a host of minor checks and adjustments.

If you're comparing prices, be sure the list of services rendered is identical and include parts as well as labor so the prices are comparable.

Thasnk you for clarifying Stiles,

The bike is in great shape. They quoted a price based on shop manual labor times and required parts for a 24K mile service...nothing more...nothing less...Well, except for not touching the forks (another $75USD).

Anybody else feel this price is OK?
