Hey guys,

My brake light is not working - when either the rear or front levers are activated.

Lost my indicators a while ago - classic split in the ignition loom issue.

Replaced the ignition loom this weekend - yes it can be done EVEN with the CANBUS wires - without having to replace ignition barrel, keys and locks.

(You have to remove the CANBUS wires from the plug end, then re-use them on the replacement ignition loom)

Got my indicators back, but alas the brake light is still a no go. Rear running light works fine.

Just wanted to know of the next things to check...

Is the brake light on the same fuse as the indicators and horn? I notice the horn seems a bit quiet and the rear running light is affected when I press the horn (slight flickers)

FIXED IT!

There was a break in one of the three wires that feed into the brake lever switch at the front, seems the circuit design means that when it splits, neither the front lever nor the rear pedal will activate the brake light anymore.

10 minutes of faffing about PLUS one shrink solder connector and it was fixed.

Looks like the wires get trapped by the suspension fork on full lock to the left.
