Hi there again...

Does any one know if/how the 2006 Clocks/Instrumentation can be switched to read MPH rather than Km/h. Is there some kind of code sequence with regards to the three buttons, or are the individual instruments specifically imperial/metric? Or, are they switched somewhere with the ECU?

Appreciate if someone can advise..!

To quote Avi8or from 1.5 weeks ago:

"With the ignition (but not the engine) on,
press and hold down ALL 3 buttons for 4 seconds.
At this point, the speedometer reading will start flashing a single digit number - usually 2.
Using the scroll button, that number cycles between 1 and 3, with 1=kph, 2=mph and 3=mph as well.
Pressing "set" sets the desired mode.
1: kph/liters
2: mph/UK mpg
3: mph/US mpg"

This has been posted a bunch of times so you might be able to find it in a search. For some reason it is not in the owners manual and most bikes seem to be delivered with it set wrong.

Anyway, IIRC, you switch the bike on but don't start it. Hold down all three IP buttons for about 3 seconds. You will see a number 1, 2 or 3. One of the buttons will increment the number, the others will take you back to the normal display. I think 1 is KPH & KPL, 2 is MPH & MPG imperial and 3 is MPH & MPG US. Something like that anyway.

The Capt'n beat me too it.

Hey Gary, how come you want to have it reading in MPH, in SA?
