I need to replace a broken stator cover on my 2005 Daytona 955i. Confused about 04-05..... Some sites suggest 05 is the 1050. At any rate. I need a replacement cover. I have read many posts regarding stator replacement, Fuse #11 and seal #22 and 34......................... the REAL question is does anyone make a replacement cover....in billet or cast like the NCR?

Daytona 955 from '97-'06 never had the 1050 motor. That would be the ST or the Speed.

No - but they did use the 1050 crankcases from engine #228631

There are also 2 different stators and stator covers - whether these coincide with the later cases is not clear as they do not delineate by serial number in the fiche.

Consult your dealer with your VIN# to be sure syd - but I suspect your '04 would be the earlier numbers.

Thanks,
