I have a 2002 thunderbird 900 which I have had for over one year. I runs well but has a rough time starting. I have checked for spark, replaced plugs, leads, battery and airbox and am getting gradual improvement. I have put a wet yuasa battery in, any comments? I have noted that the old airbox had some holes drilled in the RHS to even up the air intake, with me replacing the item these holes are now removed, what advise would you give with this, bike may be running a little rich! I also see some are removing the secondary airbox? I have the Keihim carb which looks to be set-up OK.

I am enjoying the bike so plan on keeping but would like a smoother start and dont like the thought of having to do the sprag clutch.

Cheers Alex
