I've recently replaced my bad zener diode with a Boyer Powerbox, thus removed the rectifier as well. Also replaced the stock air filter box with K&N air filters. Got the bike running and was out about 20 miles running really healthy when at around 40-45 mph she started sputtering. Gave her some gas, got a little more out of her but sputtered some more and then she died on me. Couldn't get a restart.

She's got a Boyer electronic ignition and the battery is still installed with a fuse. Positive Earth. Took out the spark plugs and they look great.

Would love some help here before I take her into a shop tomorrow.

Thanks ahead of time,
Jeff

I don't know squat about an EI, but the first thing i would check if the battery is good would be to see if your getting a nice spark at the plug.
