Still on my continued search for Bonnie or now a TR6. I use to think the hunt was half the fun, but after 3 months, I am thinking differently.

Does anyone know of a way to do a VIN check these bikes. I am looking at a 1970 TR6 with VIN BD40228TR6R.

As always thank you very, very much!

Built February 1970. That's about all the info you'll get from the VIN ... there's no CarFax report for a 40 year old motorcycle.

Decipher would have been a better word.

I trying to figure out how to "decipher" the VIN number. I know how to on Jeeps and most US cars, but no idea what the numbers mean on Triumphs (except TR6). Thank you!
