I am going to mount a 12v cigarette lighter on my Trophy. I am open to suggestions on where to mount it. Does anyone have pictures showing their mount set-up?
I purchased a Ram mount for my Garmin or Ipod. Great product! http://www.ram-mount.com

I thought about that location, but it will bet in the way of the DVD holder.

location

I bought a 12 volt cigarette-lighter type outlet designed for truck beds, so that it has some weather resistance, and placed it in the lower RH fairing. I use it for battery charging and my electric vest though, not my GPS, which is old, cranky, b&w and takes 2 double aa's.

I fitted mine on the infill panel which fits between the fairing and the petrol tank. Sits along side the heated grip switch

I can't bear the thought of drilling on my fairing. I am going to wire it to the connector for my charger/electric vest plug.

Alternate 12V socket locatrion

I have an SAE pigtail connected to my battery to attach my float chanrger, so I found this

I run the cable through the hydration hose port on the back of the bag, the socket and the GPS plug/RF receiver stay inside the tank bag, then run the power cord out the front of the tank bag to the GPS,

which I leave on the original suction-cup mount, and put over the Speedometer. (Who needs to know how fast they are going, really? If I need to know, I switch to the GPS info screen.) I tie a small cord onto the mount, and secure that to the handlebar, just in case the suction cup lets loose. Works like a charm. I like that it's not permanent.
