There are always forum readers enquiring about high milage bikes. Those who know...know these bikes will run for ever...But who has the record? I am no where near the top. Simply post up your "ALIAS Year and Model...and where you live Lets keep the Hinkley Air cooled twin. I will kick it off...

I've got a long way to go. 130,000 Kilometers, about 81,000 miles

here it is yesterday during a bleak wintry day in Victoria, Down Under with still a long way to get back home

I'm at 96k. My dilemma is that my speedo is about shot. The trip odometer hasn't worked for years. Now the speedo needle broke off, which at first was fine because I could still roughly tell my speed by the nub. But now the nub spins like a pinwheel when I ride (which is amusing and distracting) so it's useless. And the odometer numbers are covered with grease from whatever internal gave up, and it's kinda hard to read. The odometer is accurate though.

I'd love to see it spin over 100k. It's just vanity and makes little sense. Still, think I'll tough it out a while longer, and have a new speedo on hand to slap on when this one rolls over.

My needle broke at about the same milage...the odometer still works though. I scored a 17k speedo on eBay for $50. I will swap it when my miles catch up. Picture last year at 999999

Nice to see all of these bikes getting ridden. My 05 thruxton has only 47,000 miles on her. My speedometer broke at 44k. She would have more but I split my ride time between two other bikes.

This gives me confidence in buying a new Triumph. If they live that long, I'll have a nearly life long bike.

Congrats on keeping them on the road! Be safe out there!
