G'day boys and girls.

Got a question fer y'all.

Anyone had problems with losing brake fluid from their rear brake system?

My reservoir level has been steadily going down over the last few months. (It's almost invisible now)

I'll top it up at the weekend, but I'm thinking that "maybe" it's a gradual fluid leak onto the brake calipers or something, hence the back brake being as spongy as it is...

I know... I should go have a good look at it... but it's winter here now, and dark before I get home.

Anyone had similar issues?

Cheers

Got '06 which came with the bad brake option. But that's front. Rear functions w/o leak... though rear drum on my '74 Ducati is better.

Take a good look at the caliper and brake lines - you'll spot a leak real fast. Unlikely that it's leaking, tho - unlike drum brakes, disk brake reservoir level will drop as pads wear down.

And don't worry - winter WILL end...
