First of, thanks to everyone for all the help they lend to fellow riders. I have an '06 Black Bonnie with about 150 miles on it. I removed the Air injection system with the bolt kit . Iam not shure what the problem could be but after the install the bike will randomlly shut off while I am ridding it?? is it not warmed up adequetly? Will a Carb rejet help this problem? Or could it be because I need allow the air brether tube that hooks to the tank to bleed itself out after I had un hooked from the tank. Thanks a million for any help.

Make sure the little vent hose isn`t kinked or pinched anywhere. The vacuum could cause your bike to starve for gas and die out. Also check to make sure your petcock is fully on and the fuel line not kinked or twisted.Your only on your second tank of gas,so a plugged up screen isn`t too likely yet. :???:

Please try a little better description--more detail--of the problem itself for some of us old minds. :-D How do you get it running again if it completely dies, etc., etc. We need enough info to try to figure out whether it is fuel or spark. If the problem has nothing to do with your AI removal, I would suggest two possibilities: 1. (Fuel) Gas tank cap vent not working--has happened on some very new ones. 2. (Spark) Crank position sensor--goes bad (intermittant) and stops the spark. For both of these, I would suggest the dealer and your warranty--neither should happen on new bikes, but they can and have. This is a good time to see what kind of dealer's mechanic you have and dealer's service manager, IMHO.

I agree with Redbird. When you say it 'shuts off' I assume you mean it's like you hit the kill switch and not like you ran out of gas which would mean spark is the problem.
As well as the crank position sensor, it could be the coil, or the ignition module as well. Another thing to check is the sidestand switch.
Best to just take it to your dealer and let them sort it out.

I have had a couple of times when my bike did the same thing, just like someone turned th eignition off for about 3 seconds. Both times teh culprit was bad connections, once at the battery, and once by the fuse box. I would go through first and check all the connections to make sure they are tight and clean.

You could take it to your dealer, but then you lose the bike till they are done with it....
