Hi guys,

I've just wasted an hour trying to remove the rear axle on my Tiger according to the advice on this forum and my Haynes manual (in that order, mind), only to find out that my axle would seem to be in the wrong way. According to the oracles, the threaded nut should be on the RHS and the axle should be pulled from the left, but mine was t'other way round.
I don't think that this could be done inadvertently -has anyone else experienced this?

Which way the spindle goes in doesn't make an ounce of difference. I'm not actually sure mine is in the way it came out of the factory.
Sounds like yours has seized and needs a very big hammer. One tip ................. if you undo the clamp bolts on the eccentrics you should be able to pull out the nut end one, leaving the threaded end of the spindle exposed so you might be able to get a better whack on it. Put the nut back on back to front so that you don't damage the thread when you hit it.
