An Englishman Abroad - Letters from Ireland

Hey all,

Just chiming in to say Hi, I've just acquired a '98 Sprint Sport for my main ride here in Ireland.

The eagle-eyed among you will note the absence of the fairing - Don't panic, the PO decided to turn it into a Sprident but I still have all of the components, something for me to do over winter

Coming from a VFR in the UK, I love the character of the triple, it's much more fun at a lower speed which is always a good thing given the *ahem* quality of the Irish roads and lower speed limits

Any one else in the Dublin area?

...welcome to the Triumph meeting place where all is true and free.
Goodness, the background looks a lot like Newfoundland where my
family is originally from. Anyway, nice looking bike...enjoy those roads.

Welcome to the forum!

For a second I thought I was looking at a Mk1 Speed Triple. Very cool! The triple definitely has a character all its own, and is more user friendly at slower speeds. If you can get yourself to drive those slower speeds...

The T3 Sport forum will have information, opinions, and conversations about the early Hinckley triples. Introduce yourself there, post photos of your Sprint, and join the conversation!

The RAT section does not have an Ireland specific forum. Maybe the UK forum?

https://www.triumphrat.net/rat-united-kingdom/

The Rides and Events forum will have notifications that may help you meet other riders.

I promise to keep my eyes open over the next few days and maybe I can help you connect with other riders in Ireland. Best of luck!

Cheers!
