Hello out there!

I'm just back on two wheels after a fair few years away. I'm the proud owner of a 2011 Triumph Speedmaster which is around 400cc larger than I've been used to in the past. My last bike was a Suzuki Bandit 400 which was smaller and much lighter than the Triumph but clearly not as good looking! I'm from Scotland but currently living in Las Vegas. The dry heat is a joy compared to the cold wet! My lovely Speedy has a mere 3000 miles on her if it wasn't for a small dink in the tank you'd think she was new. I need to add a few mods to make her my own, nothing too much though as I'm not sure she'll make it over to Scotland when I eventually leave Las Vegas :-(

Welcome Lassie,

Great choice in bikes. I'll let you in on a secret, Triumph Speedmasters are available in Scotland! What part of Scotland? I lived there (East Kilbride) on two different occasions and have seen much of your bonnie homeland.

I'm originally from Edinburgh but I have a house in Morayshire and love it there. It's very pretty. Mind you, so is Edinburgh! There may be Speedmasters in Scotland but I paid dollars for pounds for mine. Whether I ship it back remains to be seen. I fancied a Scout but I just couldn't justify the cost. It does seem mad riding a British bike in the States. I could have at least gone for the America eh

Morayshire, that's Elgin, Nairn right? My favorite place in the world is Dornoch. If it wasn't for the endless night in winter and the lack of real warmth in summer, I'd retire there. Actually I retire there anyway but I'd have to leave the wife behind and that's not going to happen.
