Hello From Western Colorado

I am a dual sport rider with a 2013 KLR 650. I am considering a more road worthy bike such as the 800 ABS or Explorer ABS. I am interested in commuting and touring. I am impressed by the reports on the triple!

I'll very likely retain my KLR for off-road riding; It is ill equipped for true super slab traveling.

Thanks for this forum!

My next bike was going to be a Bonnie or a KLR. Well here I am. I figured I'd be better off with something smaller for the trails so I don't break my leg so easily. We hailed from CO before AZ. Can ride here 12 months of the year but miss Colo especially every summer BTW the KLR is a great Dual Sport

If you want to ride trails, I'd recommend against a KLR. They're heavy, top heavy. I'd consider a used KTM with a street kit. I think I'd use that a lot more on single track.
