New bonnie owner central Iowa

Bought a new 2013 leftover Bonnie standard about a week ago. Been reading triumphrat quite heavily ever since I (almost) made up my mind to get one a month ago. Have a few immediate questions on accessories that I haven't found definitive info or answers to in previous posts. I'll post them to the twins forum when allowed.

Thanks in advance

Hello from Iowa City! Where did you end up buying the bike?

Kweisen,
Long story short I bought it from Moon Motor Sports about 30 miles NW of Minneapolis. 2013 cast wheel, two color Intense Orange/Black, $500 Triumph accessory rebate: $7299 OTD. Iowa TTL was $401.95. http://triumphmotorcycles.com/bikes/...013/bonneville The orange/red tint varies quite a bit in different lighting.
Keep an eye on cycletrader.com the leftovers pop up now and then, some near some far away. Seen a few 2012s also. I didn't find any good deals in state but I don't horse trade. Tell me your price and I'll either buy it or I won't. I know the dealers need to play around when trade-ins are involved but I was a cash buyer w/o trade.
I like the bike but even at 5'7" I'm feeling a little cramped in my knees on extended rides. Highway pegs of some sort are in order. I like midmount pegs but I've always liked being able to move my legs around. Midmounts are one reason I wanted a naked standard type bike. Were I taller I probably would have upgraded my dual sport DR650 to a V-Strom. Probably cheaper in the long run. Although I've admired the Bonneville ever since my roommate bought a new one in 1978. Yes I'm almost a senior citizen ;-) Good luck in your search.
