Yes, USAF, 779th Tactical Air Lift Squadron, 464th Combat Support Group (both of which not longer exist)

When I was at Pope the fire roads on the FT Bragg reservation were great places to ride dirt/off road bikes.

I guess that mind set still exists to this day.

Anytime I wan't on duty I was gone too. Loved the ride to Southern Pines although I'm sure It's not as rural as it was back in the late 60's.

Also lots of trips to Myrtle Beach, East Carolina Univ. (lots of girls back then school nickname was EasyU). Put tons of miles on my Sunbeam Alpine exploring the back country roads. Lots of good BBQ.
