New from central east Florida

Just joined after finding some helpful tips in posts.
Quit riding my '72 trident back in the 80's and got back on a '99 Legend TT in '05.
Good to be back on the sled. We are just 15 minute ride south of Daytona Beach. Real handy during events.
Looking forward to making some new 'Brit' friends !

Welcome! Glad you made it back! How many miles a year do you put on your Legend TT?

I put on about 1000 per year. Bought her in NH in '05, was in storage for a year after, been in FL just 2 years, and have put about 4000 total miles on.

My wife and I travellled up to Amelia Island for a weekend and stayed at the Residence on Sadler Road. We both really liked the area. I like being 5 or 10 minutes from the Atlantic where we are but, pretty unimpressed with what I've seen of Florida. Being a New Hampshire native, I really love twisty turny mountain roads ! I don't know, I don't think you should have to be in a condo penthouse to see a panoramic view ! Anybody lead me to some nice rides down here ?

There's nothing in Florida that will compare to NH. Although you'll never have to winterize your bike! Along the St. Johns River (incl. SR13 toward Jax) is a nice ride. Heading over toward Clermont and Brooksville, you will actually find some hills and decent riding. The east coast of FL is all flat and straight w/ a lot of car traffic, so not the best place...
