Might go Triumph again

Hey, all

Old guy here looking for one more bike. I just sold all of mine except my RC30, looking now for a lightweight, comfortable one to use as an all-around commuter, sport-tourer, and occasional track tool.

I pre-ordered a 95 Hinkley TBird triple when Triumph came back to the US, but people kept running into me! After two rear-enders and a trip to the hospital, I stuck with Japanese sportbikes for the last decade or more, but the riding position is getting tough to deal with.

Considering a Street Triple for the Spring, versus a Monster 1100, MV Brutale, or a BMW F800R.

Haven't decided yet.

Welcome! All four are great bikes. The Street's motor might surprise you. Triples are addictive!

Wow, thats a hell of a selection. you have got every motor type included in there. A Triple, V Twin, I-4, & parallel Twin. Power delivery is going to be quite different in your selection. I am sure you would be happy with any of them though.

OK, I've decided. It's going to be a new Norton 961SE -

Doubt it will be here within 6 months - doesn't matter, I can wait. See you out there!

Good choice! I was seriously considering one myself, but couldn't quite justify the price, when I took into account my annual low mileage. I got a Guzzi instead. It's a pity that Triumphs' twins are so insipid in standard trim. Had they been in the 90+ bhp class, I would have bought one.
