I'm a new motorcycle owner (finally pulled the trigger on getting my endorsement and a bike after thinking about it for a while... only about 20 years or so... that's reasonable, right?
), and decided that a used '01 Bonneville was just about perfect.
So far, I am really quite taken with the bike, and I have a nice, shiny new Haynes manual that I've been perusing to familiarize myself with the machine.
For the most part, the bike has run like a champ, but I've run across an issue I've seen crop up in the forums here already: it's really
hard to start when cold.
I'm getting ready to do some basic troubleshooting that I found on a search of these forums (check the spark-plug & wire, ensure the battery is well-charged, etc). Anyone have a recommendation for a source for these basic parts? Is a Triumph dealer my only/best option?
