I'm new here

I just finished a frame-up restoration of a 2000 Triumph Thunderbird. It was given to me by my neighbor whose son had ridden the motorcycle into the ground. I had a problem with the tank leaking after it came back from being painted. I have an idea how to repair the tank, but if that doesn't work, then the paint shop has agreed to get another tank and paint it for me.

I live in the Salt Lake City area; married with two boys. They helped me during the restoration, and they can't wait until they're older so they can ride the motorcycle. My wife tolerates the Triumph as long as I include the boys and no one gets hurt. She is also grateful that I'm not like my "crazy cousin Jack" in California who is also a member of this forum.

Welcome - keep the "Mama " happy - nothing is worse when the wife is mad -- and having your boys involved is great - super bonding --- guess we all have a " Crazy Cousin Jack " in our families !

All it takes is time, patience, money, mechanical aptitude, and a lot of help from someone who knows what he is doing. Although there is a thrill like no other when the motorcycle was started for the first time, I'll never try anything like this again.
