Post New Sydney-sider here

Gday all,

I'm from Sydney and just picked up a graphite 2008 Sprint ST ABS so I thought I should join up here. From reading around, looks like I'm in a different situation to other members - I bought the Triumph to help slow myself down as I spent the last 6 years on a GSXR1000. I love how the torque and engine note of the 1050 triple combine to let you cruise along at any speed while making you think you're travelling quicker than you really are, rather than egging you on to give it some more. Also love the comfort and practicality.

Cheers,
Dave

Welcome Dave!

The Sprint definitely is slower than a Gixxer, but as you've already pointed out - that's no a bad thing. I love the sound of Triumph's triples. The triple torque is decent too. Performance-wise, the Speedy matches my riding abilities better than my Blackbird.

Enjoy the bike and the site!

Hi

I love the flexibility of the 1050 engine: Pulls from very low down, very forgiving and makes a cracking growl when angry.

G'Day Davo - good to see another Aussie here (even if I'm only an adopted one myself).

Catenaccio - love your owner's club emblem. But I would say that, being originally from that way.

Enjoy! Raining 'cats n dogs' here in Victoria so I can't
